We were employed to construct a purpose-built new arts and science block to enhance the School’s expansion within this area of learning.
The building sits on the outskirts of the school ground but surrounded on 2 sides with existing teaching blocks. The building is being constructed using steel frame, with SFS system and insulated render system. The roof is a mono-pitch roof covered in single-ply covering and all windows and doors thermally broken aluminium.
Internally all walls are metal-stud and plaster-board to a skim finish, hardwood doors and painted wood work. Both science labs are fully fitted including loose furniture. The 4 arts rooms to the first floor also fully fitted with fixed and loose furniture. 2 general teaching classrooms created to the ground floor, also fully fitted. The building has male and female and staff WC’s, with a purpose built kiln room with staff room and science and arts separate preparation rooms.
